Poem: A Thing I Wrote

For those who fully understand,
I respect most.

A Thing I Wrote

Embrace the visiable scars that live upon your body
For they tell the story of how you’re still striving
Threw Physical pain and mentally every day life
To become who you are, now, an individual
You, who understands threw experience
Who knows the reality of the situation
Fold upon fold and minds to hear
Scar tissue crackling to no end
Dreams of old goals and past
While future awaiting better
The now is good enough
Simply to be able to say
I am still alive today

A thing I wrote.
